IV of Spades Brings Its Reunion Era to New York

One of the Philippines’ most distinctive contemporary bands is heading to New York. IV of Spades performs Sunday, October 11, at 5 p.m. at Melrose Ballroom in Queens, bringing together Unique Salonga, Blaster Silonga, Zild Benitez and Badjao de Castro for a night of music spanning the band’s biggest hits and newest material.

IV of Spades emerged as one of the defining Filipino bands of its generation with songs including “Mundo,” “Come Inside of My Heart,” “Ilaw sa Daan” and “Hey Barbara.” After a five-year hiatus, the group reunited in 2025 and followed its comeback with Andalucia, a 12-track album that marked a new stage in the band’s music and renewed partnership.

The New York performance is part of an October North American run that also includes stops in Canada and California. For Filipino and OPM fans in the Northeast, it is a rare opportunity to see the complete IV of Spades lineup together again—and experience one of the Philippines’ most recognizable modern bands live in New York.
