What type of models are we looking for?

We are looking for Filipinas, which includes those of mixed heritage, whether experienced or not, to participate in our fashion show. Since we have more than one fashion show lined up for the event, we are open to a diverse range of talents and backgrounds.

Who is the designer for the fashion show?

Carl Andrada is a top fashion designer for top beauty pageant contests. He has participated in both LA and NY Fashion Week.

‍‍Are there any fees to participate or attend the fashion show?

‍There are no fees to participate or attend the fashion show. We aim to make this an inclusive event for everyone.

Why are we looking only for female models?
‍We are open to male models as well but as of this week, we are currently looking for female models.

‍Will I get paid for modeling in the fashion show?

‍As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the Filipino American community, we do not offer payment for modeling. Your participation will greatly contribute to celebrating and uplifting our community, and you will gain valuable experience and exposure.

Do I need experience to join? 
No, you don't need experience.

‍Do I need a comp card?

‍No, you don't need a comp card. The fashion show is open to both experienced and inexperienced models. However, all models will need to be selected by the fashion designer.

‍What is a comp card?
‍A composite card for modeling—or, as they are usually known, a comp card—shows your best, most recent shots, alongside your measurements and modeling info (height, eye color, any special skills, etc.). You will need one full body shot, one from the waist up, and one of a close-up of your face.

‍Why is there no age requirement for participants?

‍We believe that fashion is for everyone, regardless of age. Our goal is to celebrate diversity and inclusivity, and we want to provide a platform where women of all ages can shine. This includes having the selected models 

‍Why are you open to all females without an age requirement?

‍Opening the show to all females, regardless of age, allows us to showcase a wide range of beauty and talent. We want to break traditional barriers and promote an inclusive environment where every woman feels empowered and represented.

Do I need to bring my own outfit for the fashion show?

‍No, you don't need to bring your own outfit. The designer will provide all the outfits for the show.

‍Who will select the models for the fashion show?

‍The models for the main fashion show will be selected by our designer, ensuring they align with the vision and theme of the show. Additionally, other models will be selected for the Santacruzan and various mini fashion shows happening outside the main event.

‍When will the models be selected?

‍The models will be selected in the month of July.

‍How can I attend the fashion show?

‍Attendance is free, but seats are on a first-come first-served basis.

‍What can I expect at the fashion show?

‍Expect a dazzling display of fashion, creativity, and entertainment. We will have various segments showcasing different styles, along with performances and other surprises.

We have a minimum height requirement of 5'3" for our models.

Are there specific size requirements for modeling in the fashion show?

‍What time will the fashion show be?

‍The fashion show will take place in the afternoon of August 17 at American Dream, Court A, in East Rutherford, NJ. More details will be shared closer to the event. Exact time will be announced soon.

When is the fitting day?
The fitting day will be on August 16, the day before the event. Venue will be announced soon. Rehearsals will be at the American Dream Main Stage.
